Food security in rural South Africa has been a long-standing challenge that continues to affect the well-being and livelihoods of millions of people. The country’s rural areas are characterized by high levels of poverty, limited infrastructure, and insufficient access to resources, making it difficult for communities to secure an adequate and nutritious food supply.

Ripples for Change, together with various partners, will find strategic solutions to support farmers from rural communities with the provision of seedlings, soil supplements, training, mentoring, and encouraging people to grow vegetables for their own consumption as well as for commercial use.

With the use of agritechnology, specialized tools and support, as well as the development of new markets and production initiatives, we work to give farmers more power.
